Cable TV

recently i got cable connection after shifting the tv to my bedroom. for nearly two years and a half i have gone without watching tv and that with a purpose. tv for me had always been a time killer and i did not want to become a couch potatao and would rather spend that time in reading and writing. and last of the reasons was ofcourse that i did not have a tv to myself.

so once i had a tv to myself i went ahead and got time warner connection of more than 250 channels and suddenly a whole new world unfolded infront of me. it was an overwhelming experience for the first few days and i surfed through the channels in awe, as if it were food for the starved. for me it was like a window to a whole new world. just then i went down with flu and was on bedrest giving me more time for my new obsession.

i started with the news channels updating with the US elections- the super tuesday and then moved on to the movies, the reality shows, soaps like friends, sex and the city , food channels, history channel, music, fashion and so much more. all this made me feel energetic and more in tune with the life here in US. now i wonder what was i doing all this while. it makes my room so homely and lively. now i have started having tv parties in my house inviting friends over to watch and serving them the experimental food learnt from tv.
